An 80 lb bag = 0.6 cu ft. A 60 lb bag = 0.45 cu ft. A 40 lb bag = 0.3 cu ft of mixed concrete. Bagged concrete mix yield is roughly 0.0075 cu ft per pound of dry mix. The standard bag sizes produce these volumes when mixed properly:  • 40 lb bag → 0.30 cubic feet • 50 lb bag → 0.375 cubic feet • 60 lb bag → 0.45 cubic feet • 80 lb bag → 0.60 cubic feet • 90 lb bag → 0.675 cubic feet  In practical terms, an 80 lb bag fills: • A 12 × 12 × 8 inch column footing • A 16 × 16 × 4 inch slab (about 0.59 cu ft) • A 24 × 24 × 1.5 inch shed pier footing  Use the chart below to calculate bag counts for slab projects.
